It was pretty enlightening in the field of youth ministry overall. I had to read it for a college class, and I expected it to be a shallow, uninteresting read.

I was very by: 2. Modernized and revised (this is the 4th edition), this still seems obviously not of this generation in its advice on physical care, which is definitely cotton-wool. The psychological attitudes, on the other hand, are contemporary and flexible, sound and sensible, and the coverage includes the nursery, clothes, growth and development, fooding, foods, habits and habit training, sleep, exercise.

Your First Two Years in Ministry is an incredibly helpful book in addressing many of the heart issues a youth minister deals with and I encourage anyone interested or already involved with youth ministry on any level to pick up a copy and give it at least one good read (maybe you’ll want to pick it up again years down the road, just as I have).
